Safeguarding

Safeguarding statement from the Education Director

Every child has the right to feel safe, valued and protected. Across the PACE Group of Schools, safeguarding is a priority that guides our decisions, our daily practice and the expectations we place on every adult working with children.

Our commitment begins with safer recruitment, including appropriate checks and references, and continues through staff training, clear reporting procedures and vigilant supervision. All safeguarding concerns must be recorded on the school’s secure reporting system and brought promptly to the safeguarding team. Urgent concerns require immediate action. We expect staff to listen to children, take concerns seriously and never assume that someone else has reported them.

Parents are essential partners in keeping children safe. If you are worried about your child or another student, please contact the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in your school. You do not need proof to raise a concern.

Please read our Safeguarding Guide for Parents and Carers and Keeping Children Safe Online guide, available on this page. They explain how to recognise concerns, support your child and seek help.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Together, we must ensure that every child is heard, supported and protected.
